New stuff..

okay so I'm still getting used to the new blogger through google....seriously has my head spinnin'...once I figure it out, I'll post more often :)

Recent changes

Whew...kinda been a little busy, eh? It's been a LONG time since I wrote last. Anywho......new changes (not all of them good)....
1) I started CSUS about 2 months ago...so far so good.
2) My cat, Dixie died a week ago. She was 16 years old. I'm still in shock.
3) Still single..still happy..
4) I feel like a workaholic..when did I sign up for that?
5) I'm leaving for France in 2 weeks =) VERY excited!

Crazy!

Whew..it's been a crazy couple of days. I've been dancing a lot, and learning lots of new moves and dance steps. =) I'm finally catching on to the Lindy Hop....yay!

Also, my ex asked me back yesterday...to which I politely declined. Whew! That was a mind trip! After two months, he decides to ask me back. Odd. Very odd story. Oh well.....I'm still single!! Yay for me!

Let's see..what else. ARC starts soon..in about a month. =) Can't wait to get back into ASL. I really need to practice. CSUS starts in about a month and a half...whew....my plate is going to be full. Not going to be able to dance much though =( I'll really miss that.

Well, I better get back to work. I'll try to write more later.

The Dating World

Okay..so...yeah. I've gone out on a few dates recently...some good...some bad. One guy was super sweet..he paid for everything-treated me like a queen. We had a great time playing pool, watching movies etc. We talked for 4 hours! And there was definite chemistry. Then..nothing...no call...no email. He eventually says that he thinks he shouldnt' see me anymore....yay..nice brush off. =( That was disappointing.

This other guy I'm seeing is nice...a good dancer...funny. We have a good time. We just saw the new Pirates movie. Anyway, I've noticed that he doesn't pay for much when we go out. Of course, I offer to pay for half, but secretly inside i"m hoping that one day he'll say "nah, I've got it" and pay the whole thing. Oh well.

Dating is frustrating...Guys never call when they say they will....blah...any of you out there in this same funk?

It's been a good 2 weeks

Hey there...yup, I'm still doing good. I'm going out dancing about 5 nights a week, I just can't get enough of it! =)

I'm about to register for Fall classes at CSUS. I'm very excited to start =) I think I'm taking 2 classes there, and then 4 at ARC.

I went out last night with M again. Had a very nice time- we watched "The Incredibles." Well, we only got halfway through it because it was getting late and I had to get up early. So the visit was short and sweet. =) Nice guy.

Not sure what I'm doing for the 4th....might go out dancing...might go to my sis's for dinner and fireworks...

That's about it. =)

Fabulous!!!

Hey there..I'm doing fabulous! I'm still just friends with Austin, and we talk nearly every day. Life is good.

Anyway, I'm still stuck at my job...trying to get a new one. I finally get to start working overtime every weekend. They were having problems with my login information. Now I'm all good..

Let's see...what's on my weekend agenda. Tonight I'm going over to Mom's for movie night....ahhh..I get to relax. Tomorrow I'm working overtime at work probably until 4 and then going over to my sis's house for a Father's Day dinner get-together. Then on Sunday night I'm going to a swing dance at the ballroom. =) WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Oh yeah, my ballroom shoes are evil....I had to take them back..or at least TRY and take them back. Stupid store doesn't do refunds =( Those shoes killed my feet....I dont' think it was the heel height because I normally wear heels higher than that one anyway....maybe it was the angle of the shoe or something. Anyway, I now have a store credit....yay. And the lady said that some new shoes are coming in the store in a few weeks....so I gave her my number and asked her to call me when they do. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR so for now, I'm stuck wearing flat shoes (mostly tennis shoes) to dancing because I can't wear heels. My left foot is injured...oh well.

Update!!!

Whew, it's been a while since I've written, and wow have things changed!

1) Austin and I are now friends. We went through an amicable break-up about a week ago, and decided that we're just not right for each other. We are both happier now, and our lives are much less stressful.
2) I've taken up ballroom and latin dancing as well as swing dancing. I just bought my first pair of ballroom shoes on Satruday. They're black, sleek, and GORGEOUS. They're by Capezio.
3) I have a coffee date tomorrow night. It's not really a "date" date to me as I am not attracted in that way to this guy. He's from the ballroom, and we have been taking East Coast swing together. He's a nice guy, one that I would only consider a friend. Anyway, I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now.
4) I think that's about it. I'm happy...life is good......I love amicable breakups! I have never been through one before, but if you have, you know what I mean! Everything is peaceful now...you are both FINALLY on the same page when you realize that you've grown apart....and that you're not "in love" with the person anymore. I was so shocked when he told me how he felt last week, because I realized that I had felt the exact same way! We still talk everyday. I feel like he's an old friend of mine that I've known for 50 years. It's just nice how this turned out. It really is. Also, he gave me an MP3 player for my birthday, so I have a new technical gadget to figure out =)
