Chemo Hats- Crochet
I've been crocheting for about 4 years now, and I just recently started crocheting caps for chemo patients and I wanted to share some sites that have some nice patterns, in case anyone is interested (or even sees this blog).
http://members.aol.com/JSchlossma/csc.html I'm in the middle of making this one
http://www.nancysnotions.com This site has some really cool crochet patterns
http://www.lionbrand.com Of course, lionbrand has good sites too.
So, that's what I've been up to. I just finished my first hat this morning. It's a baby blue color with a shell edging..quite pretty in fact. I'm going to make a "bunch" of caps and then donate them to hospitals for their chemo patients. =) I have a lot of leftover yarn in storage containers at home which this will be perfect for. The cool thing is, most of these caps only use between 2-3 ounces of yarn. Not bad! =) If anyone else out there is doing this, let me know. Maybe some pics?
